Jujutsu Kaisen (JJK) is one of the most popular anime series to ever exist and it’s made a big impact on the anime community and the community going forward.
The year is 2018 and cursed spirits have taken over Japan hurting innocent civilians, regular citizens can’t see these cursed spirits only sorcerers can see these curses, and it’s their job to get rid of these curses and protect as many innocent people as possible.
These curses aren’t all the same; they are ranked by strength grades 1 through 4 and special grades, special grades being the strongest and most powerful out of any cursed spirits these ranks also imply to the sorcerers. And they’re not going to send a grade 4 sorcerer to fight a special grade cursed spirit, because if they do the battle can be dragged out and it could lead to innocent people getting hurt. The two strongest characters being Sukana who is known as the strongest in history and gojo who is known as the strongest of today
Honestly, the show is just ok, for what the show is it’s good with original characters and good animation but other than that it feels like other comparable shows like One Punch Man because villains and took over a city and are ranked by strength and so are the heroes and it’s similar to My Hero Academia because Japan got taken over by villains and all the heroes and villains are ranked by strength but what’s different is that the other shows do it better. because in jjk you really only get to know 5 to 6 characters and the other characters are just there. And they rushed the story a lot, especially the ending.
It feels like the creators didn’t care about the ending so the ending doesn’t feel complete. There were fights and other important events we didn’t see happen. But there are some positives like the 6 characters we get to know are unique from most characters like their powers and personality and you can connect to these characters a lot more and feel bad for them, because of how much we see them suffer throughout the series, and we really get to see the characters change and how much they have grown throughout the series.
