Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses was animated in 2006 on September 10, it then premiered on Nickelodeon. It was then released to DVD nine days later. The film was directed by Greg Richardson and was loosely based on the German Fairytale. The 12 Dancing Princesses was based on Brothers Grimm, Brothers Grimm was a folklore that they have made.
The movie was about nine sisters and their single father. The young woman loved to dance and sing. Until their aunt the duchess came to so called “help” the daughters of her cousin, the king. The sisters then run away from their aunt who has been cruel to them while she acts innocent and respectful in front of the King. They run away into a magical portal on the ground In their bedroom, their mother had left books to find out how to open it. The books had a flower as the cover, the same flowers that were made on the ground. As they opened the portal to a different world to escape the cruel aunt. The aunt had poisoned the king, making the sisters come back to the castle and leaving the magical world forever where they could grant wishes, to save him.
This movie is great to keep children entertained, it also shows to never give up when times get hard. You can’t always run away from problems, so might as well stand up to it. The music in this movie is mostly about ballet, having activities for children to dance along. The background give the children more freedom and imagination
So next time if your children, little cousins or little siblings aren’t complying, might as well put this movie for them. They would love the music and they would love it just as much as I loved it.
